Career Blossom
The period of rapid growth in my career began in 2013-2014, when I developed my own recognizable style. There were more shoots, their quality increased noticeably, and at the same time there were beautiful models willing to work with me, including in the nude genre.
It was during this period that I realized that it was important for me to control every millimeter of the frame. My approach was far from spontaneous: instead of shooting hundreds of shots in the hope of getting lucky, I was extremely meticulous in my preparation. I knew exactly what kind of images I wanted to get and I was in complete control of the process. I showed the models how to sit, where to look, and what emotion should be on their faces. I corrected every fold of clothing and strand of hair until the shot was perfect. After that, I would take just one shot and move on to the next pose or angle. In the end, I only got 10-15 shots per shoot, but each of them was of high quality.
I received my first requests for training at that time and held my first workshop in my hometown. I remember how worried I was, but everything went great. During the same period, commercial orders started coming in and photography started to be profitable for the first time, no longer being a purely costly hobby.
Gradually I realized that my future would be connected with photography. Lee had previously considered it just one of my hobbies, along with traveling by motorcycle, surfing and other hobbies. I upgraded my equipment, bought a better camera and lenses, which allowed me to take my work to the next level.
But most importantly, I developed an eye for detail. It was enough to look at a new location, clothing, or accessory to immediately create a scenario for a genre photo set with a story and plot. I started using a variety of locations for my shoots: industrial plants, farms, old apartments, and creative studios.
Back then, I was not yet creating a large series of images. Often I would go to a shoot for a single photo. The models agreed to work with me on a TFP basis, which suited both parties.
Photography became more and more a part of my life, becoming an integral part of it. And I loved it.
Little did I know at the time that I had master classes all over the world, exhibitions, sales of my own books and calendars, collaboration with big brands, and, of course, the creation of the NYMF app ahead of me.
