Which is more important: Equipment or Photographer?¿Qué es más importante: el equipo o el fotógrafo?
In my opinion, photography is an art in which the master's eye is important, his ability to see beauty in simple things. Technique, in its turn, is just a tool with the help of which the photographer conveys his feelings and ideas.
Of course, technique is important, but it cannot replace artistic vision. It's like in music: you can have a great piano, but without the talent of the performer it won't sound the way it should. It's the same with a camera: it won't create unless there is a person behind it who understands what, how, and why it should be filmed. What's more important to me is what's behind the lens – the emotions, the atmosphere, the beauty that lurks in a person and that you just have to be able to convey. And yes, to this day one of my favorite tools is an old Nikon D5100, on which I shot my first significant works.
En mi opinión, la fotografía es un arte donde la mirada del maestro es fundamental, su capacidad para ver la belleza en las cosas sencillas. La técnica, a su vez, es simplemente una herramienta con la que el fotógrafo transmite sus sentimientos e ideas.
Claro que la técnica es importante, pero no puede reemplazar la visión artística. Es como en la música: puedes tener un gran piano, pero sin el talento del intérprete no sonará como debería. Lo mismo ocurre con una cámara: no creará a menos que haya una persona detrás que entienda qué, cómo y por qué debe filmarse. Para mí, lo más importante es lo que hay detrás del objetivo: las emociones, la atmósfera, la belleza que se esconde en una persona y que simplemente hay que ser capaz de transmitir. Y sí, hasta el día de hoy una de mis herramientas favoritas es una vieja Nikon D5100, con la que grabé mis primeras obras importantes.
