David DubnitskiyTanya had long liked the oriental, ornate patterns of Mehendi on the hands of the girls she had seen in the films. So, the girl decided to try and her powers. I bought henna, which stayed on the skin for several weeks, special thin brushes, and examples of drawings. She knew that this art was more than 5,000 years old, basking in the warm sun, and she enjoyed the process of applying paint to the skin, feeling every tender touch with the brush, and contemplating the left mark. The girl loved her new look. She closed her eyes and felt almost palpably in ancient India amidst the jungle, elephants, and harsh warriors.
