Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the light of the candle on the table wavering, casting warm glints on the walls. It seemed to her that she was about to hear the soft thump of her grandmother's footsteps outside the door, that her voice would fill the room again. Daria closed her eyes. She didn't want to wake up. This world was too dear to her, too cozy, like a cocoon in which to hide from reality. But somewhere in the back of her mind, she knew: that morning would come, and she would have to go back. But for now... for now, she let herself dissolve into those memories, warmed by their warmth.
