Yes, sometimes things don’t go as planned. Although I like to think through the details, I’ve often come across unforeseen circumstances. For instance, hardly had I arrived at the photo shoot location when it started raining cats and dogs, even though there was no rain in the forecast. We desperately needed the daylight, but it suddenly started to snow. On the day of the photo shoot I would realize the main props had been missing or the model’s clothes don’t fit her, and this list is not exhaustive. But don’t get upset in such circumstances! Improvise!
A vivid example here is “Girl under the rain” photo series. According to my plan, the weather was supposed to be fine, but we were suddenly caught by summer rain. This was a bit confusing for me, but not for my model. She was chilling out dancing in the rain. I picked up her idea and made incredible shots! They came out even better than I’d expected!
