Trip to the MoviesTrip to the Movies
For another five minutes, we would sit quietly and look forward to the beginning of the film. The lights went out, a motion-picture projector started to rattle, and we would leave this world behind, immersing ourselves into the “movie” life. Somehow, out of all the children’s movies I’d seen, I memorized The Adventures of Sinbad the Sailor, which was a full-length animated colour film. To me, it was an embodiment of our happy, joyful and careless childhood.
